Vaughn.4 Boyd Wilson Gilliland married Florence Hooper on 1 September 1921 at Pennsylvania.5,6 On October 22, 1928, in Argument Court, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, Boyd was summoned to court by Florence by charges of desertion and non-support. The court sentenced him to pay $25 every two weeks for support of her and two children. (In the 1940 census Florence was living in Huntingdon County with three children, John, born circa 1923; Robert, born circa 1931; and Eugene, born circa 1933. Since the newspaper article in 1928 only mentioned two children and Boyd and Florence were divorced by 1930, then it's not certain if Robert and Eugene were actually Boyd's sons. That may also be why Boyd's obituary only mentioned son John Raymond Gilliland.)5 Boyd Wilson Gilliland appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Downingtown, Chester County, Pennsylvania, enumerated 8 April 1930, working as a barber and boarding in the Carrie Marshall household.7 He appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Dublin township, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania in the household of his mother Elizabeth Jane Scott.8
