Myrle G. Rollins, 85, passed away at 4:30 AM Saturday July 29, 2006 at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City.

Myrle was born May 17, 1921 in Perry County, Indiana. Her parents were the late Eugene W. and Lena (Richard) Gilliland. She married Russell A. Rollins Sr. September 13, 1941 in Tell City. Russell passed away in 1993. Also preceding her in death was her son, Russell A. Rollins Jr. in 2006, a grandson, William a. Rollins, a brother, Donald Gilliland, and three sisters, Martha Scott, Collie Damin, & Helen Kirchner.

A member of the First church of the Nazarene in Tell City, Myrle retired in 1982 from General Electric after 32 years. She enjoyed gardening, housework, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter Gina Weigand and her husband Mark, Tell City, Indiana; her daughter-in-law Pam Rollins, Tell City, Indiana; two sisters, Ruth Schroeder, Tell City, Indiana and Emma Damin, Tell City, Indiana; four brothers, Bill Gilliland, El Paso, Texas; Jerry Gilliland, Bloomfield, Indiana; George Gilliland, Tell City, Indiana; and Orvan Gilliland, Tell City, Indiana; five grandchildren, Brian Rollins, Michelle Newton, Keith, Mandy, & Kevin Weigand; and fifteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday July 31, 2006 at Huber Funeral Home 1139 12th Street Tell City, Indiana with burial in New Cliff Cemetery at Cannelton. Rev. Henry Ford will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Monday at Huber Funeral Home-Tell City Chapel.2

Gilliland married Mildred Trible on 18 November 1954 at Tell City, Perry County, Indiana.2 Orvan A. Orvan A. Gilliland, 71, passed away at 3:09 PM Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

Orvan was born July 13, 1935 in Manteno, Illinois son of the late Eugene and Lena (Richard) Gilliland. Also preceding him in death was a son, Bert Gilliland and three sisters, Collie Damin, Martha Scott, and Helen Kirchner.

He married Mildred Trible November 18, 1954 in Tell City. A 20-year member of the U.S. Army, he served during the Vietnam Era.

Orvan owned Gilliland Cleaning Service for 23 years before his retirement and loved spending time with his family.

Surviving: Wife - Mildred (Trible) Gilliland, Tell City, Indiana; Daughters - Jessica Stull, Greenfield, Indiana and Heather Gilliland at home; Sisters - Emma Damin, Tell City, Indiana and Ruth Schroeder, Tell City, Indiana; Brothers - Bill Gilliland, El Paso, Texas; George Gilliland, Tell City, Indiana; Jerry Gilliland, Bloomfield, Indiana; Two grandchildren: James Stull and Joshua Graham.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM on Friday, April 20, 2007, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Deer Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in rural Tell City. Bro. James Huffman will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time Friday.3
