Graveside service for Mr. Park F. Gilliland, 86, of Oxford, will be Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 10:00 am at the Hillview Memorial Park. Rev. Charles Gilliland will officiate.

Mr. Gilliland passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Russell Medical Center. He was born on February 4, 1927 in Elmore County, Alabama to Rufus Clinton Gilliland and Annie Lou Boddie Gilliland. He enjoyed fishing, yard work, watching Alabama Football, and spending time with his family most of all.

He is survived by his sons, Edward Gilliland (Kathy) of Oxford and Kenneth Gilliland (Jo Ann) of Jackson’s Gap; grandchildren, Patrick Gilliland (Helen), Jennifer Knox (Chris), Kristopher Gilliland (Hadley), Chad Gilliland (Jennifer), and Mark Gilliland; great-grandchildren, Hanna Gilliland, Bailey Knox, Macie Knox, and Parker Knox; sisters, Martha Stuckey and Mary Lamon; and brother, Clark Gilliland

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Frances Harris Gilliland; sisters, Doris Gilliland and Lucille Gilliland; and brothers, Jack Gilliland, T.J. Gilliland, Leonard Gilliland, and McHaney Gilliland.

The family requests no flowers but memorial donations be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1893, Memphis, TN 38101-9950 or through their website, www.stjude.org.
