John Gilliland appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Pulaski township, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, enumerated 5 November 1850.1 Also living with him were Catherine Gilliland, age 61; Mary Gilliland, age 55; and Nancy Gilliland, age 43; all born in Pennsylvania; and John McCaughy, age 14, born in Ireland. Next door was David Gilliland. John Gilliland appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Pulaski township, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, enumerated 10 July 1860.2 He appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Pulaski township, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, enumerated 4 July 1870.3 On June 10, 1874, John made out his Last Will & Testament.
